Job summary

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacy department under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help prepare and distribute medications, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records consistent with procedures and regulations.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of experience preferred, and a current Nevada Pharmacy Technician license or national certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience preferred in pharmacy setting.
• Current Nevada Pharmacy Technician license and board/coc certification.

Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

One (1) year experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.).

License/Certification:

Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.
