Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Director of Technology Operations to lead QA, IT & internal tooling, and Security. You’ll set strategy, own outcomes, and modernize processes from test automation to proactive IT enablement while staying hands-on when needed.

The role demands 10+ years in tech and 5+ years leading teams across two areas, with strong automation and AWS experience. This is a fully remote leadership position emphasizing measurable impact and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology roles with 5+ years leading teams in at least two areas (QA, IT, Security)
• Experience transforming manual processes into automated, scalable operations
• Strong QA/test automation, CI/CD, and modern AI-assisted testing
• Hands-on AWS experience with infrastructure knowledge for QA/IT/Security decisions
• Solid IT operations grounding in IAM/SSO, SaaS, network security, and budget management
• Familiarity with modern test automation frameworks and architecture evaluation
• Ability to translate technical risks into clear business decisions
• Executive communication to translate technical concepts for leaders and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Set QA strategy and embed quality in development
• Modernize testing via automation and CI/CD quality gates
• Adopt AI-assisted testing tools for efficiency
• Coach and grow QA, IT, and Security teams
• Modernize internal tools, automate processes, manage SaaS portfolio
• Establish IT SLAs, self-service resources, and documentation
• Own security roadmap across apps, infra, and vendor risk
• Lead incident responses and blameless postmortems
