Job summary

Universal Health Services, Mesilla Valley Hospital in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a PRN Mental Health Technician to join the behavioral health team. The MHT will assist in maintaining safety and cleanliness, support a therapeutic milieu, and work closely with Nurses and experienced MHTs under RN/therapist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with more experienced MHTs and Nurses to provide a therapeutic milieu under their guidance.
• The MHT functions as an active part of the treatment team and works under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Therapist.

Mesilla Valley Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Mental Health Technician.

The MHT therapeutically interacts with the patient and assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the unit. Collaborates closely with the more experienced MHTs and Nurses to provide a therapeutic milieu under their guidance. MHTs are expected to use training skills consistently. The MHT functions as an active part of the treatment team, they are role models to patients and other MHT. The MHT work’s under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Therapist. Education:

WORK HOURS: 12 hour shifts available. PRN employees must work four shifts per month, one shift must include a weekend.
