Job summary

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP's Silicon Valley Corporate & Securities - Technology group is seeking a corporate associate with 3–5 years of experience to help on mergers, acquisitions, and technology transactions for venture-backed startups and growth companies.

Ideal candidates have experience with public and private M&A, seed and venture financings, corporate formation, governance, and compliance, and possess strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a corporate associate in a tech-focused environment.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies; drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements.
• Experience with emerging technology companies, including seed and venture financings, corporate formation, governance and compliance.
• Admission to practice in California strongly preferred.
• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and ancillary documents for corporate transactions.
• Supervise junior associates and help close transactions.
• Provide guidance on corporate formation, financings, governance and compliance for technology clients.
