Job summary

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP's Silicon Valley Corporate & Securities - Technology group is seeking a corporate associate with 3–5 years of experience to help on mergers, acquisitions, and technology transactions for venture-backed startups and growth companies.

Ideal candidates have experience with public and private M&A, seed and venture financings, corporate formation, governance, and compliance, and possess strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a corporate associate in a tech-focused environment.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies; drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements.
• Experience with emerging technology companies, including seed and venture financings, corporate formation, governance and compliance.
• Admission to practice in California strongly preferred.
• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and emerging growth companies rely on Pillsbury's Silicon Valley Corporate & Securities - Technology team for advice on everything from company formation to financings, corporate governance, technology transactions, acquisitions, and public offerings. Admission to practice in California is strongly preferred but not required.Ideal candidates will have experience from an AmLaw 100 firm, preferably in Silicon Valley or similar tech environment, as well as public company experience, including IPOs and other public offerings and SEC reporting. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act. California Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience is $250,000-345,000.
