Job summary

JPMorganChase in Oakland is seeking an Associate/VP in M&A with a technology focus to participate in the full cycle of transactions, including preparing pitches, modeling, and presenting to committees. You will work with analysts and associates and help drive execution on high-impact deals.

You'll operate within a large team of over 100 bankers, travel as needed, and develop deep capabilities in valuation, client presentations, and strategic analysis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an investment banking front office role.
• Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution.
• Strong financial modelling skills.
• Understanding of the transaction cycle and execution.
• Excellent communication with senior professionals and stakeholders.
• Self-directed and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A transactions
• Interact with senior team members and client management daily to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
• Defining, guiding and reviewing detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analyses
• Defining, guiding and reviewing detailed combination and other financial analyses in the context of M&A transactions or pitch situations
• Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to Associates and Analysts
• Participate in graduate recruiting
