Job summary

Prospect Rock Partners onboarding of a high-potential Associate 1/2 in New York City to drive consumer/retail M&A initiatives. You will work on marquee transactions, collaborating with senior bankers to execute complex deals from origination through close.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years of investment banking experience focused on Consumer/Retail, strong financial modeling, and excellent communication skills, with immediate availability or shortly after bonus season.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of M&A investment banking experience with Consumer/Retail focus.
• Experience supporting 2+ closed Consumer/Retail M&A transactions.
• Strong modeling, valuation, and deal-structuring abilities.
• Excellent analytical and attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; ability to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of technology M&A transactions from origination through close.
• Manage deal workflow including financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
• Conduct strategic and financial analysis to support client advisory services.
• Prepare marketing materials, management presentations, and Board-level presentations.
• Coordinate with legal, accounting, and other transaction advisors
