You will handle drafting, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation while directly advising clients and balancing competing deadlines.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, strong writing and research, and thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois law license.
• Substantial litigation experience.
• Meaningful deposition and trial experience.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing ability.
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
• Strong client judgment and professional time discipline.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of litigation matters from strategy through resolution.
• Draft and revise complaints, motions, discovery, letters, and deposition outlines.
• Conduct thorough legal research and translate findings into practical strategy.
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions; assist with trial preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients and related parties, including under high pressure.
• Manage deadlines, court rules, and client needs across a caseload.
• Collaborate with the firm and independently manage matters.
• Assist with transactional, IP, or tech-related issues as needed.
