Confidential Employer in Chicago seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate to join our Chicago team. This mid-to-senior level role focuses on complex disputes, securities litigation, and regulatory investigations, with responsibility for drafting motions, managing discovery, and supporting trial preparation.

You will work alongside accomplished attorneys, benefit from mentorship, and enjoy a hybrid schedule with Fridays remote and opportunities for advancement in a leading international firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois admission to practice.
• 4+ years of experience in complex commercial or civil litigation at a law firm.
• Hands-on experience with discovery, brief writing, and pretrial preparation.
• Strong legal research, written advocacy, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters and collaborate effectively with clients and litigation teams.
• Experience with securities litigation, class actions, white-collar matters, or sophisticated business disputes preferred.
• Exposure to cybersecurity or data privacy litigation is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Represent sophisticated clients in complex commercial litigation and business disputes.
• Draft compelling motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and deposition preparation.
• Support case strategy, legal research, and pretrial preparation for complex litigation matters.
• Work on disputes involving securities, breach of contract, fraud, fiduciary duties, and other significant commercial claims.
• Assist with class actions, multidistrict litigation, white-collar matters, and regulatory investigations.
• Collaborate with experienced litigation teams on case development, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.
• Gain exposure to emerging litigation areas, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology-related disputes.
• Take ownership of meaningful case responsibilities while continuing to develop your advocacy and litigation skills.
