Job description

Location: Multiple U.S. offices | Hybrid
What if your next legal role wasn't about practicing law as it exists today, but shaping how it will be practiced tomorrow?

We're partnering with a globally recognized AmLaw firm investing heavily in the future of legal practice. The firm is seeking a litigation-trained attorney who can bridge sophisticated legal judgment with emerging AI capabilities, working directly with partners to transform how complex legal work gets done.

This is not a traditional litigation associate role, nor a purely technical innovation position. It's an opportunity to influence how attorneys research, investigate, develop strategy, analyze evidence, and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

The mandate:
  • Partner directly with litigation teams to identify and redesign high-value legal workflows.
  • Translate GenAI, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and emerging agentic tools into practical legal applications.
  • Lead innovation pilots from concept through implementation and adoption.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to partners, balancing legal rigor, client confidentiality, risk, and measurable impact.
  • Help define the next generation of AI-enabled litigation practice.
The ideal background:
  • JD and meaningful experience practicing litigation, ideally within an AmLaw 100 environment.
  • Strong understanding of how complex litigation matters are actually executed.
  • Demonstrated involvement in legal innovation, GenAI adoption, workflow redesign, or legal technology initiatives.
  • Credibility with practicing attorneys and the ability to translate emerging technology into tangible improvements.
  • A builder's mindset, intellectual curiosity, and genuine enthusiasm for reshaping legal practice.
Why consider it?

A rare opportunity to combine your legal training with meaningful influence over AI strategy and implementation at one of the world's leading law firms, without following the traditional partnership track.
