Job summary

Vedder Price P.C. in Chicago seeks a Training Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate technology and professional skills training across the Firm.

You will support new hire onboarding, software implementations, and ongoing education, partnering with IT, HR, and stakeholders to ensure effective, compliant learning solutions. You will create learning materials, run instructor‑led and online sessions, review content after releases, and measure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience training legal or professional services employees.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, delivers, maintains, and evaluates instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended learning programs.
• Creates learning materials including facilitator guides, participant guides, quick references, and eLearning modules.
• Proactively reviews and updates training content after software releases and workflow changes.
• Conducts orientation and training for all new hires on Firm applications including Microsoft 365 and AI tools.
• Routinely follows up with new hires to assess training needs and adapt content.
• Delivers engaging training via classroom, one-on-one, and virtual sessions.
• Evaluates new applications and end-user configurations for Training relevance.
• Collaborates with IT for QA testing and records results.
• Analyzes user needs and updates training accordingly.
• Coordinates with vendors for content and delivery activities.
• Reviews vendor materials and adapts to Firm workflows.
• Develops project plans and communicates updates to teams.
• Creates eLearning modules using Camtasia, Articulate, etc.
• Maintains the Firm’s LMS and training records.
• Maintains training rooms and schedules; keeps up with industry standards.
• Provides coaching and troubleshooting with IT or other teams.
• Offers ad hoc training and floor support as needed.
