Job summary

Vanguard's Technology Leadership Program is a two-year rotational development track for graduating students, featuring three eight-month IT rotations across different teams. You’ll design, build, and enhance applications that power internal systems and client-facing platforms, using cloud, APIs, and full-stack development.

You’ll gain leadership skills through capstones, hackathons, and mentorship while collaborating with engineers, product teams, and business partners in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, or related technical/engineering subject matter required.
• Strong interest in application development, including web, mobile, or backend systems.
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with coding languages preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance applications that support Vanguard's internal systems and client-facing platforms.
• Develop scalable solutions using modern technologies, including cloud, APIs, and full-stack development.
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact outcomes for the business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product teams, and business partners.
• Apply Agile methodologies to deliver solutions in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Participate in technical capstones, hackathons, and innovation-focused initiatives.
• Build relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard.
• Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship.
