Job summary

Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program offers a two-year rotation designed for graduates starting careers in technology. You will complete three eight-month rotations across IT teams, gaining exposure to diverse technologies, business areas, and challenges while building the skills to grow as future technology leaders.

Participants design and build applications that support internal systems and client-facing platforms, delivering high-impact outcomes through cloud, APIs, and full-stack

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, or related technical/engineering subject matter required.
• Strong interest in application development, including web, mobile, or backend systems.
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with coding languages preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance applications that support Vanguard's internal systems and client-facing platforms.
• Develop scalable solutions using modern technologies, including cloud, APIs, and full-stack development.
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact outcomes for the business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product teams, and business partners.
• Apply Agile methodologies to deliver solutions in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Participate in technical capstones, hackathons, and innovation-focused initiatives.
• Build relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard.
• Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship.
