Job summary

Google Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Product Technology Manager for Universal Commerce Protocol within the gUP Shopping Partner Engineering team. You will drive API ecosystem initiatives, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and mentor junior engineers while delivering scalable integration solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership of technical repositories, partner guidance, and open-source tooling, with responsibilities across CI, dev tooling, and data-driven feature prioritization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
• 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and maintain technical repositories, applying best practices for repository management, linters, CI infrastructure, community triage, developer tooling, and technical documentation.
• Provide high touch technical guidance, partner education, implementation reviews, and troubleshooting for strategic partners to guarantee successful integrations within defined SLAs.
• Develop technical tools, open-source utilities (e.g., SDKs, scripts), and documentation to expedite partner implementation and enhance DevX.
• Work with Product Managers, Partner Operations Managers, and Engineering to channel partner feedback and prioritize new product features and tool requests.
• Identify, drive, and optimize growth for new business opportunities by leveraging data and Google technologies.
