Job summary

The Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI) has an opening for an IT Software Engineer III to serve as a technical leader within the Applications team. This role provides hands-on guidance in Power Apps, SQL, ECM, and WordPress, while mentoring teammates and ensuring high standards of architecture, security, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing scalable business applications.
• Ability to mentor developers and lead design sessions.
• Strong knowledge of Power Apps, SQL Server, and WordPress.
• Experience with ECM systems and document management.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Mentors developers and analysts, including reviewing work products and providing constructive feedback.
• Leads design sessions, sets technical direction, mentors team members, and holds the team accountable to sound architecture and coding standards.
• Designs, develops, and maintains solutions using Power Apps, SQL Server/databases, the ECM system, and WordPress-based web properties.
• Optimizes technology solutions to align with business-driven processes across the agency.
• Maintains and advances the agency security program as it relates to applications, data, and platform configuration.
• Leads improvement and standardization of the agency-wide document management strategy and ECM systems.
