Job Description Summary

The Tech Lead will be responsible for facilitating transactions, producing, assembling, and delivering replacement/repair parts and equipment as part of a Services agreement or order. This includes activities such as processing transactions, managing processes, material management, site operations, sometimes in a shop environment. It involves craft & non-craft labor as well as managerial roles focused solely on these activities.

This role impacts approaches, projects, and programs within the functional area or affected business organization, influencing quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of your own team. You will have significant input into setting priorities, guided by professional practices and policies relevant to the role. The position offers moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require a 4-year degree, primarily tactical responsibilities (excluding general administrative work).
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, utilizing prior experience and technical expertise to execute policies and strategies.
  • Understand key business drivers and how your work and your team’s work contribute to the broader organizational goals.
  • Use judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, solving straightforward tasks using technical skills and analytical thinking. Collaborate with multiple internal sources to make decisions.
  • Operate as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or as an early people leader capable of hiring and developing talent. Provide informal guidance to new team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field from an accredited university, with at least 3 years of technical manufacturing experience OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of technical manufacturing experience.
  • At least 2 years of repairs/servicing experience with heavy-duty equipment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Position is 100% onsite at GE Richmond Service Center.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range is $81,700.00 - $109,200.00. The specific offer may vary based on experience, education, and skills. The position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. The posting closes on May 15, 2025, or thereafter.

*Geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary applies in certain areas.
