Insilico Search Partners is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer Lead to supervise a team of Scientific Data Engineers and deliver data pipelines powering AI-driven products. You will design data models, build scalable pipelines, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product managers and researchers to translate requirements into production-grade solutions.

The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery, quality, and fast iteration using Python, SQL, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building data solutions in data engineering or related fields.
• 10+ years using Python and SQL focused on data.
• Experience leading projects, managing requirements, and timelines.
• Experience managing multiple customer-focused projects across cross-functional teams.
• Experience driving engineering excellence by resolving delivery challenges and inefficiencies.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and proactive project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own project delivery: lead a team of Scientific Data Engineers and supervise their growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Own data models, data pipelines, and data applications powering customer success.
• Leverage LLMs to build data schemas and parsers for diverse pre-clinical data formats.
• Develop reusable schema components and Python libraries for production use.
• Build data pipelines with unit and integration tests to ensure data fidelity.
• Create dashboards and reports using React, Streamlit, Jupyter, and related tools.
• Ensure solutions meet customer requirements and deliver value.
• Promote team-wide improvements to product quality and developer experience.
• Lead Agile sprint planning and resolve blockers.
