Job summary

SDL Search Partners seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design scalable, AI-enabled data platforms for a high-performing financial analytics environment. You will partner with investment professionals and technologists to move beyond pipelines and build intelligent data products.

You will work with Snowflake, dbt, Python, and cloud-native tooling, shaping architecture, governance, and platform strategy while mentoring peers. A competitive compensation package supports extensive growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with data engineering best practices.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, data warehousing, and modern transformation frameworks.
• Familiarity with IaC, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and automated deployment.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools and emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data platforms, pipelines, and analytics solutions for enterprise reporting and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain modern data models enabling high-quality analytics.
• Build, test, and deploy data products using Snowflake, dbt, Python, and cloud-native tooling.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development and team productivity.
• Implement data governance, lineage, observability, and quality controls for trusted data.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve platform capabilities and engineering effectiveness.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, standards, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers and raise the overall technical bar across the organization.
• Support evolution of an AI-enabled engineering culture focused on innovation and quality.
