Job summary

TetraScience is seeking a senior data engineering leader in Cambridge, MA to guide a team of data engineers in building data products and data pipelines for scientific data. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with product managers and scientists to deliver mission-critical data solutions.

You will drive design, coding, testing, and deployment of scalable data systems, and help translate complex requirements into robust, reusable components.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building data engineering solutions.
• Experience leading engineering teams of five or more.
• Strong communication with product and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SDEs and oversee career growth.
• Gather requirements from cross-functional teams and design consensus-based solutions.
• Build data models, prototypes, and production data pipelines.
• Develop data schemas and parsers for pre-clinical data using various formats.
• Productize parsing functions into Python libraries.
• Create dashboards and reports with React/Streamlit/Jupyter.
• Ensure quality with unit and integration tests.
• Drive agile sprint commitments and continuous improvement.
• Resolve blockers and deliver results.
