Qualifications

• 8+ years in full-stack development with backend focus
• Strong experience building back-end services in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js
• Experience designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs
• Strong understanding of databases, data modeling, and system design
• Ability to own systems end-to-end from infra to UI
• Strong understanding of performance and distributed systems
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup with high ownership

Responsibilities

• Own and lead development of core features across the stack with backend focus (~60%) and frontend (~40%)
• Mentor team members
• Design and build scalable back-end systems in Python, including APIs, services and data pipelines for AI-driven functionality
• Develop intuitive front-end experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Architect systems for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Collaborate with product, design and leadership to translate requirements into robust tech solutions
• Define and implement back-end architecture, service design, and data modeling
• Drive performance optimization across back-end and front-end
• Lead code reviews, technical design discussions and architectural decisions
