OpenGov is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to build top-tier SaaS solutions that boost efficiency, transparency, and accountability in government agencies. You will lead and deliver full-stack features using ReactJS, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and S3, driving AI-native development in a fast-paced environment.

You are a hands-on leader who can master new codebases, mentor peers, and collaborate across teams to ship high-impact features with strong engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in developing highly scalable cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and S3.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and API integration.
• Cloud & DevOps experience on AWS with modern CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana.
• Experience integrating AI-driven UX and workflow automation.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence technical direction.
• BA/BS in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of multi-tenant cloud-native solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex architectural bottlenecks.
• Guide AI-native development and adopt AI-driven tooling to improve productivity and quality.
• Rapidly contribute across the stack and deliver high-quality code.
• Collaborate across teams to translate business priorities into shipped features.
• Represent the team's technical vision in stakeholder discussions.
• Ensure software quality through engineering best practices and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning.
