Job summary

Schonfeld invites you to join its Summer Internship within the DMFI Technology team for ten weeks of hands-on project work. You'll collaborate with senior developers to build high-performance software and power live and historical market-data pipelines used by Portfolio Managers to make timely decisions.

During the internship, you'll have a dedicated manager and mentor, weekly learning sessions, and opportunities to connect with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Academic background: currently pursuing a technical or quantitative degree.
• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with Java is a plus.
• Database knowledge: PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Exposure to real-time data-streaming technologies.
• Interest in capital markets and finance.

Responsibilities

• Streaming Live Data: Process ticking market data from multiple providers, delivering it to users within milliseconds.
• Optimizing Time-Series: Build highly efficient historical datasets optimized for rapid trading analysis.
• Data Lifecycle Management: Enhance every stage of our data pipeline: ingest ➜ clean ➜ store ➜ analyze ➜ deliver.
• Risk & P&L Visibility: Contribute to pipelines that give PMs real-time and historical visibility into their market exposures.
• Production Ownership: Own a summer-long analytics project from conception to production deployment for active business use.
