Job summary

Schonfeld offers a ten-week summer internship for standout students in a software engineering track. You’ll work with an experienced team, design, develop, deploy and support trading and research platforms while rotating through Treasury or Compliance technology areas.

You’ll be mentored by a manager and a senior developer and may receive a full-time offer after the program. Importantly, you should be pursuing a technical or quantitative degree, showing demonstrated software engineering skills

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical or quantitative degree.
• Demonstrated software engineering skills from internships, competitions or publications.
• Interest/experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python.
• Basic knowledge of Git and databases.
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.
• Interest in Capital Markets or Finance.
• Strong ownership of work and strong analytical skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior developers to design, develop, deploy and support applications.
• Participate in an Agile framework to improve platform performance and scalability.
• Engage in summer-long projects and present results to the team.
• Receive mentorship from a manager and mentor and network with leadership.
• Potentially receive a full-time offer after the internship.
