Job summary

Schonfeld offers a ten-week Summer Internship in its DMFI Technology division. You will work with an experienced team on high-profile projects, gaining exposure to live and historical market-data pipelines and real-time analytics used by Portfolio Managers.

You'll be paired with a manager and mentor, participate in sessions and workshops, and have opportunities to network with senior leaders while contributing to production-ready analytics work.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a technical or quantitative discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with Java is a plus.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Exposure to real-time data-streaming technologies is highly advantageous.
• Coursework or interest in capital markets and finance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior DMFI Technology developers to build high-performance software.
• Power live and historical market-data pipelines enabling PMs to make time-sensitive decisions.
• Process ticking market data from multiple providers with minimal latency.
• Build efficient historical datasets for rapid trading analysis.
• Own a summer-long analytics project from conception to production deployment.
