Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Tech II & Tech III - Transport Refrigeration role based in Ft. Worth, TX. The technician will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on transport refrigeration units and related systems, following manufacturer and safety standards. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing and adjusting components, and documenting all work performed. The role also involves collaborating with service advisors, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and occasionally assisting with new equipment installations. The technician will interact with customers in a professional manner, provide clear explanations of work needed or completed, and support the overall efficiency of the service department.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with diesel, refrigeration, HVAC, or automotive/truck systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to use diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail in performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Effective communication skills for working with team members and customers, and completing accurate service documentation.
• Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of tools, personal protective equipment, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced shop environment, including standing, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Prior experience as a transport refrigeration, HVAC, diesel, or heavy-duty equipment technician is highly beneficial.
• Relevant technical training or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, diesel technology, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, with reliability and willingness to support occasional overtime or flexible scheduling.
