Job summary

Thermo King of Dallas is hiring a Refrigeration Technician II in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on preventive maintenance for transport refrigeration units, diagnosing issues, and performing component replacements on trailers and trucks.

The candidate will use DVOM and refrigeration gauges, read service documents on a laptop, and follow PPE and safety policies. Requires a GED/HS diploma, TK certification in progress, and own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience and TK certification or in process of TK certification.
• Ideal candidate will have a mechanical background and related education.
• Must have own tools and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on trailers, trucks, and APUs.
• Diagnose basic refrigeration issues including leak checks, recovery, evacuation, and charging.
• Replace components such as belts, hoses, batteries, starters, and alternators.
• Perform basic electrical diagnosis using DVOM and other tools.
• Maintain batteries and diagnose faults.
• Install/remove Thermo King refrigeration units.
• Use laptop to apply for and complete work orders, read service documents and schematics.
