Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a skilled technician for on-site maintenance and repair of Thermo King and Carrier Refrigeration units in Indiana. You will diagnose, repair, and service refrigeration equipment, and manage documentation for work orders.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in transport refrigeration or HVAC, hold EPA 608/609 certifications, and can work overtime. Tools provided (or must bring personal tools) and valid driver's license required.

Thermo King Midwest is an award-winning Authorized Thermo King dealership group providing a complete line of refrigerated transportation products, including parts, service, and aftermarket accessories.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Thermo King and Carrier Refrigeration units; Diagnose, repair, adjust and modify all components; and Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.

What You Will Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical degree or certification, a plus but not required.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with transport refrigeration and or HVAC experience
  • Thermo King refrigeration repair or HVAC
  • Diesel engine repair, a plus but not required
  • Low voltage electrical systems
  • High voltage electrical systems
  • Microprocessors
• EPA Certification 608 Universal or Type 1 and 2. 609 Certification
• Must supply own tools
• Must be able to work overtime and on-call as needed
• Ability to achieve and maintain proper certifications and training
• Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects.
• Use computers for web-based training and work order system
• Dependable and reliable
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Ability to retain knowledge of standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Must be able to pass a DOT approved physical
