Job summary

Peak Industrial Company is seeking a dedicated technician experienced in transport refrigeration repair. You will service Thermo King, Carrier, and similar equipment for trucks and trailers, with supervision as needed.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing compressors, coils, and electrical components, using diagnostic tools, and documenting all work daily. On-site, yard, or mobile service environments are available with after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
• Familiar with Thermo King, Carrier, and similar transport refrigeration equipment.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Certified to use refrigerants (R134a, R404, R410, and others).
• May need to use a laptop to reference repair manuals.
• Work may be in shop, yard, or on mobile service vehicles.
• Willing to be on emergency after-hours on-call rotation.
• Must be willing to take on additional duties as requested.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking technician with experience in the transport refrigeration equipment repair field. Technician needs to be team-oriented, committed to quality work and a quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance procedures and repairs on Thermo King, Carrier and other refrigeration equipment for trucks, trailers and containers with little or no supervision
• Diagnose and repair/replace compressors, coils, electrical components, etc…
• Use diagnostic equipment to flash controller, diagnose alarms, implement repairs, etc…
• Use repair orders to record all work performed and submit on a daily basis
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
• Follow established procedures to track work and complete forms connected with work assignments
• Ensure timely completion of work according to company regulations and procedures, and instruction from Lead, Supervisor, or Manager

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety
• Familiar with Thermo King, Carrier, and other transport refrigeration equipment
• Have good verbal and written communications skills
• Certified to use refrigerants, R134a, R404, R410, and others as needed
• May be required to use a laptop computer to diagnose and/or reference repair manuals
• May work in a shop, at our yard or out of a mobile service vehicle
• Must be willing to be in an emergency after-hours on-call rotation
• Willingness to perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by management
