Job summary

Hillman Group is seeking a manufacturing operator to run forming presses, CNC machines, threading equipment, and welding stations on day shifts. You will help maintain production targets, monitor quality, and follow safety protocols to ensure consistent output.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, changeovers, and recording production data, with a focus on efficiency and traceability in a metal forming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years in manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate forming presses, CNC machines, threading equipment, or welding stations.
• Perform equipment setup and changeovers for different sizes or product types.
• Monitor heat treatment, forging, or machining processes for consistency.
• Perform dimensional inspections (length, diameter, thread pitch).
• Identify and resolve routine production issues such as misfeeds or tooling wear.
• Record production, downtime, and scrap data in tracking systems.
• Support coating or finishing processes (galvanizing, plating, painting).
• Ensure material traceability throughout the production process.
• Train and assist Level I technicians.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
