Job summary

Hillphoenix is seeking a Machine Operator II - Sheetmetal to operate and maintain sheet metal equipment, read blueprints, and support various production stages. You will run brake presses, lasers, punch presses, and related tools, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards.

You will also perform inspections, follow written and verbal instructions, and maintain a safe, clean work area while collaborating with team members across shifts and departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in sheet metal department (brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, deburring machines).
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for kitting department.
• Read rulers, tape measures, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Inspect finished pieces for conformance to specs using gauges and measurements.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and run trial cuts to verify operation.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust to meet specs.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Use safety equipment as required for each operation.
