Qualifications

• Two years of related laboratory experience including one year as a Laboratory Technician I or equivalent level experience
• Certified Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification
• Any combination of related post high school education and experience which totals two years
• MLA(ASCP) certification or eligible
• High volume public contact
• Meets CLIA 88 requirements and qualifications to perform waived testing (point of care testing)
• Experience performing waived testing, including releasing test results
• Phlebotomy experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates functional supervision by directing the daily allocation of resources and coordination of activities.
• Ensures quality service to clients through communications with external and internal laboratories and support staff.
• Performs or directs routine preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and cleaning as assigned.
• Performs phlebotomy.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
