Job summary

Selby Jennings partners with a leading technology-focused investment bank to support the growth of its advisory team. The firm advises founder-led and entrepreneur-backed businesses on M&A, capital raising, and strategic transactions across software and internet.

The Investment Banking Analyst will play an integral role in transaction execution and client advisory assignments, involved in financial analysis, valuation, and preparing client materials from start to finish.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of investment banking experience or equivalent in technology/M&A/capital markets.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience preparing client-facing presentations and transaction materials.
• Solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and transaction execution.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, comps, precedent transactions, merger, LBO).
• Support sell-side M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Prepare pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, and board materials.
• Conduct industry, company, and market research focused on technology.
• Assist with due diligence, data room management, and transaction processes.
• Work closely with senior bankers and client teams on live engagements.
• Monitor industry trends across software, internet, and technology-enabled services.
