Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a Technician- Manufacturing Engineer I for the D Crew on PM shift at our New Iberia facility.

The role focuses on installing and qualifying systems, troubleshooting day-to-day manufacturing issues, and driving improvements to throughput, yield and product performance. Qualified candidates have a technical education (associate or higher) and 2+ years of machine experience or equivalent First Solar exposure, with strong English communication and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with technical qualification.
• 2+ years machine or mechanic experience or equivalent First Solar experience.
• One year First Solar technical experience.
• Good written and oral communications in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and qualification of systems and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Identify and implement system improvements to improve throughput and yield.
• Support pilot-line operations and transition to standard production.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
