Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Technician- Manufacturing Engineer I for the USA (C Crew / AM Shift) at our New Iberia, LA facility. This role assists in installing and qualifying systems, troubleshoots day-to-day manufacturing issues, and supports improvements to meet throughput, yield and product performance goals.

Responsibilities include solving production and process problems, collecting data, training production staff, maintaining process documentation, and ensuring safety and housekeeping

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree or 2+ years technical/machine experience preferred.
• General electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge is expected.
• Strong written and oral English communication and self-direction are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and qualification of systems; troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Identify and implement yield, throughput and product performance improvements.
• Develop methods to assign causes to yield excursions and maintain process control plans.
• Provide training to production associates and update internal documentation.
