Job summary

CyberTeck Academy, Rockville, MD, seeks a part-time, on-site teacher for a Fall 2026 paid internship. Shifts run 2.5–5 hours, with compensation of $50–$85 per class. No prior teaching experience required; paid training is provided, and classes meet weekly for 6–8 weeks.

Applicants should own a vehicle to transport laptops/equipment and be available in August 2026, with the potential for multiple days per week across VA/MD/DC locations. Start-of-season in August follows paid training.

Qualifications

• Familiar with video and/or computer games.
• Enjoys working with and teaching kids between 5 and 14 years old.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work well independently.
• Must be able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.
• Plus: some programming basics, Minecraft, Lego Robotics, or 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Pick up equipment from our local facility and travel to assigned school.
• Show up on time - we are responsible for children.
• Set up laptops and related equipment for 8–12 children.
• Teach Minecraft programming, game design, animation, and/or Lego robotics classes.
• Ensure students safely leave with appropriate parents or staff.
