Job summary

ClearCaptions, LLC is seeking an IT Financial Planner to lead forecasting and reporting for critical technology systems, including cloud platforms and AI spend. You will translate technical roadmaps into clear financial plans and model costs for existing and proposed projects.

Within IT, you will build cost models, review pricing, and deliver thoughtful analysis to senior leaders. The role emphasizes FinOps, collaboration, and scalable processes in a fast-paced, remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems, or related field required; equivalent combos considered.
• 5+ years in financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis; IT/tech or telecom-adjacent experience preferred.
• Strong Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint and financial software proficiency; data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, and track costs for IT systems and platforms, including cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and core tech infrastructure.
• Build and maintain cost models and forecasts for proposed IT projects, including licensing and run-rate costs.
• Pull usage data from cloud/vendor platforms, analyze pricing, and identify cost drivers and opportunities for savings.
• Lead FinOps practices across cloud and AI platforms, including budgeting alerts and unit-economics reporting.
• Forecast and manage AI/ML spend, partnering with IT/Data teams to model usage growth and cost per transaction.
• Prepare reporting on IT spend, variances, and forecast accuracy for senior leaders; contribute to annual IT budget.
• Improve forecasting tools in partnership with enterprise architecture and FP&A leaders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to create visibility into technology spend.
