Job summary

New York Life invites a student intern to explore how a modern technology organization operates within IT Operations. The internship offers exposure to application support, reliability, and automation, with a focus on AI and agentic technologies, in a collaborative, enterprise environment.

The program provides hands-on project work across Technology Enablement, mentorship, and opportunities to present impact to leadership, preparing you for a career in technology operations.

Qualifications

• Rising junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, CS, IS, Eng, Data/Analytics, or related field.
• Interest in IT Operations, application support, automation, AI or related tech.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with diverse colleagues.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar tech and processes.
• Ability to organize work, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership.
• Familiarity with scripting, cloud tech, data analysis, monitoring tools, automation or generative AI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Technology Enablement teams on a meaningful internship project across IT Operations.
• Analyze an operational process or technology challenge and develop a recommendation or prototype.
• Explore AI or automation to improve the process.
• Present findings and recommendations to Technology Enablement leaders and teammates.
