Job summary

New York Life is offering an IT Enablement & IT Operations Internship in a hybrid environment with a 3-day per week in-person expectation. The program provides exposure to applications, reliability, incident management, AI-enabled operations, and collaboration with Technology Enablement teams.

Interns will complete a meaningful project across IT Operations, and present findings to leaders. Eligible rising juniors pursuing IT/CS-related degrees will gain hands-on experience and networking

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Interest in IT Operations, automation, AI, or related technology disciplines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration ability
• Willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies, tools, and processes
• Familiarity with scripting, cloud technologies, data analysis, monitoring tools, automation, or generative AI preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with Application Administration & Support: learn operations, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Explore Reliability & Observability to monitor health and performance.
• Observe Incident, Problem & Change Management processes and safety controls.
• Support End-User Technology & Workplace tools and services.
• Identify automation opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Assist on AI & agentic technology initiatives within IT Operations.
• Contribute to a meaningful internship project and present findings.
