Job summary

Del Mar College Testing Center is seeking a Student Assistant - Office Assistant - Technology Education Pool to support the department and its students. This pool position fills temporary assignments as needed in the Technology Education area.

The role emphasizes clerical duties, front desk tasks and coordination with faculty and staff. Qualified applicants are current Del Mar College students enrolled in at least 6 credits with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to organize activities and coordinate groups of people.
• Ability to relate to a diverse student population.
• Ability to communicate effectively (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
• Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks.
• Ability to use a PC in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer the telephone, take messages and make appointments for the departmental faculty and staff.
• Provide clerical support to the Technology Education Department faculty and staff.
