Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a Student Assistant for the Technology Resource Center within the Student Success Center pool to assist students with technical issues and manage loaner equipment.

duties include helping check out and return laptops and calculators, keeping the lab tidy, and entering data for equipment checkouts, all while delivering friendly customer service to students across all academic levels.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Del Mar College student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Good clerical skills including answering phones, filing, and data entry.
• Ability to relate to students from all academic levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to students with computer issues.
• Assist with loaner program, helping students check in/out laptops and calculators for academic use.
• Ensure computer lab is clean and in order for students to utilize this support service.
• Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment.
• Complete updates on all laptops.
• Answer phones and provide information about checkout requests.
• Perform data entry on the TRC Contract for checking out equipment.
• File and maintain records.
