Job summary

Glenbard Township High School District 87 is seeking a dedicated advisor to supervise student clubs, oversee elections, and certify results in collaboration with the APSS. You will train officers, approve candidate eligibility, and ensure proper handling of club communications and events.

The role requires presence at meetings, events, and fundraising activities, inventory management, and adherence to district policies. Interaction with staff and the community is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
• Ability to write professional communications.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form

• Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies

Responsibilities

• Supervise all elections and certify the results to the Assistant Principal for Student Services (APSS).
• Approve all candidates for each club office before elections. Students with significant disciplinary records are not eligible.
• Train officers and members in handling their offices and guide club operations.
• Submit the constitution or charter of an organization when first organized to the APSS.
• Approve club announcements, meeting dates, activities, flyers, and t-shirts.
• Be present at every meeting, social event, and fundraising activity during the school year.
• Make an annual inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Complete forms and reports as directed in the Student Activities Handbook.
• Consult with the APSS for smooth club functioning.
• Represent your club at Activity Night and Booster Award Night when required.
• Ensure representation at Presidents Council Meetings.
• Coordinate with APSS to access Skyward accounts.
