Job summary

Ship Calm LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Technical Director (Logistics/Warehousing) to lead software, integrations, and operations in a fast-growing logistics environment. You will bridge technical architecture to the P&L and guide automation across OMS, WMS and TMS with a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in software engineering, integrations, and technical operations
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience
• 2+ years of hand-on experience with 3rd-party integrations and complex distributed systems
• Warehousing, logistics and/or e-commerce platforms and domain experience
• Project management and agile methodologies experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to explain complex technical systems in non-technical terms
• High emotional intelligence and proven track record of delivering results under pressure
• Strong programming proficiency, especially TypeScript and NodeJS
• Strong data analytics experience, especially SQL
• Experience working with supply chain technologies (OMS, WMS, TMS)

Responsibilities

• Audit current tech stack and value streams within 30–60 days.
• Communicate clearly across Slack and meetings to track progress and deadlines.
• Lead weekly Product L10 meetings and Rock Out sessions.
• Grow the team while minimizing daily dependencies.
• Maintain platform health through monitoring and incident response.
• Escalation anchor for urgent tech issues with defined SLAs.
