Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking an Expert Consultant for the Technology Insights Group (TIG) in the US. You will collaborate with global tech leadership and PE teams to assess software companies and advise on technology-led value creation.

Bring 3+ years in software or tech, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas. Travel is required; you will interact with CEOs, Executives, and PE professionals throughout engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a software or technology-related role; technical due diligence experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to rapidly absorb and interpret technical information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interface with Bain and client teams.
• Willingness to travel as required by project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology due diligence and value creation assignments for PE investors targeting software businesses.
• Contribute across the entire client engagement, from scope to final report delivery.
• Drive primary and secondary research, collecting quantitative and qualitative data.
• Articulate recommendations and insights to project teams, PE investors, and technology leaders.
• Support special initiatives to scale the practice (ops/systems).
