Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a Technologist for the Technology Insights Group (TIG) in the United States, based in Boston or New York. You will lead technical diligence, evaluate architectures, and advise on tech-enabled value creation for private equity and corporate clients.

Expect frequent client interaction and a need to travel. The role requires 10+ years in tech leadership, deep software engineering expertise, and a strong background in AI/ML.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on experience in commercial software engineering and architecture.
• 10+ years industry experience with leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior Technologist across technology and due diligence engagements.
• Own the technical answer and shape executive summaries and cost assessments.
• Validate product capability against investment thesis and assess technical debt and architecture decisions.
• Be the senior technical voice in client calls and deep-dives with clients.
• Contribute to winning work by shaping proposals and credible technical storytelling.
