Job summary

Walker & Dunlop, a leading commercial real estate capital provider, seeks a Vice President & Associate General Counsel of Technology and Data Privacy in Needham, MA. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, IT, and Cybersecurity to govern data, licensing, AI, and privacy across the organization.

The role requires JD, 5+ years in tech/privacy law, and experience negotiating complex technology contracts.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
5+ years of relevant legal experience in technology, privacy, data, and commercial matters.
CIPM, CIPP/US, and/or CIPP/EU certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as product counsel to Product and Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Embed privacy, data governance, security, and responsible AI considerations into products and platforms.
Review data flows and AI uses to identify legal risks and provide practical solutions.
Lead privacy and data governance matters for the organization across departments.
Negotiate complex technology contracts including SaaS and data licensing.
Collaborate with Procurement to improve contract lifecycle management.
