Job summary

TECO Energy in Tampa, FL seeks a Contract Administrator III to manage contracts for electric and natural gas infrastructure. You will lead commercial evaluation, draft award recommendations and oversee contract execution for consulting, software, and major construction services.

A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in contract management are required. The role requires strong negotiation, knowledge of procurement laws, and experience with RFx sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum four years direct work experience in contract management, construction, IT, or project management.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms, leading bidding events, and supporting category management.
• Preferred SaaS/software licensing, IT sourcing, vendor negotiations, and pre-award experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead bid evaluations and prepare award recommendations.
• Negotiate change orders, claims and disputes; review invoices for contract compliance.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Security, Legal and Risk Management teams.
• Conduct due diligence on potential contractors for technical and commercial fit.
• Understand procurement laws and various contract types (lump sum, unit price, cost-plus).
