Job summary

Chubb External seeks a results oriented Commercial Lines Technology Underwriter in Washington, DC to drive profitability across packages including standard lines and tech-focused products for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, pricing, and negotiations with agents and clients, building robust pipelines, and mentoring junior underwriters while collaborating with the broader team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Technology underwriting experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to analyze accounts and translate data into pricing decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial performance for an assigned book with renewal and new business.
• Meet or exceed goals for rate, growth, profit, retention, and new business.
• Solicit accounts, perform risk assessment, and price technology products and services.
• Negotiate coverage, price, terms with clients and agents/brokers.
• Build strong relationships with agents/brokers to achieve targets.
• Collaborate with underwriting team, claims, service reps, and loss control.
• Develop technical underwriting expertise among junior staff.
