Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking an EAS Intern to support assurance, attestation, and audit services across a diverse client portfolio. You will analyze business processes, assess technology risks, and assist with ITGC, SOC, ESG, and EBP engagements.

You’ll collaborate with client personnel to identify risks, evaluate controls, and develop high-quality deliverables, gaining exposure to multiple industries and emerging assurance topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or in progress in relevant field; GPA often considered.
• CPA eligibility preferred for certain roles within Assurance & ESG.
• Interest in professional certifications (CPA, CISA, CIA, etc.).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing client engagements by understanding objectives, processes, risks, and control environments.
• Evaluate and test business process controls and IT controls to support assurance objectives.
• Support various assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Apply audit and attestation methods to identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze data to support engagement conclusions and recommendations.
• Utilize data analytics and AI-enabled technologies to improve efficiency and insight.
• Document results and communicate findings with accuracy and quality.
• Ensure compliance with reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Draft deliverables and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain effective engagement communication.
• Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Develop understanding of client operations, trends, and risks.
