Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a hands‑on engineering leader to run a small, high‑performing full‑stack team. You will mentor peers, architect systems, and drive DevOps and Agile/Lean practices to deliver valuable software aligned with business goals.

You will shape architecture, deliver large services, and partner with product teams to estimate efforts, prioritize work, and ensure high quality, secure, scalable solutions while fostering an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of software development experience with modern practices.
• Experience delivering production-level tasks quickly and efficiently.
• Track record of owning large projects both collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to reduce complexity to increase output with less effort.
• Strong influencer with SDLC leadership in Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps.
• Familiarity with cloud tech: AWS, serverless, event-driven arch, CI/CD, IaC.

Responsibilities

• Provide management, coaching and mentorship to your direct reports.
• Architect and deliver high‑quality code while upholding standards for observability and security.
• Shape broad architecture and deliver major services or infrastructure pieces.
• Work with product teams to estimate effort and priorities for maximum impact.
• Guide the team on modern development practices with hands‑on support.
• Manage projects and collaborate with partners to deliver business value.
• Foster an inclusive environment that strengthens team results.
• Lead special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
