Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills such as email and data entry.
  • Willingness to travel 1–5 trips per year.

Responsibilities

  • Advise producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation.
  • Visit farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment settings, monitor bird health and provide remedies.
  • Monitor feed consumption and order as necessary.
  • Coordinate chick placements to farms and assist with catch schedules.
  • Ensure communication among Hatchery, Feedmill, and Livehaul departments.
  • Ensure compliance with production contracts and USDA regulations.

Duties would include, but are not limited to:* Advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation.* Visiting farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment settings, monitor bird health, and provide remedy when possible.* Monitoring feed consumption and ordering if necessary* Pulling blood and fat samples as required* Coordinating chick placements to farms* Assisting with catch schedules* Ensuring communication among Hatchery, Feedmill, and Livehaul departments regarding their contract farms.* Ensuring compliance with the production contract to optimize flock quality and minimize costs.* Ensuring adherence to all USDA and other government regulations regarding poultry handling.* Working with the Broiler and Breeder Departments in coordinating weekly chick placements* Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.Must obtain and maintain a Tyson Non-Dot Driver's Manual permit to include a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations within a 3-year period. No DUI/DWI convictions within a 5-year period. Selected candidate must be willing to reside within a 50-mile radius of the Magee Office.**Requirements****Education:** Bachelor's degree in an agricultural field or equivalent experience relevant to the position preferred.**Experience:** 1+ years' experience in a poultry or agriculture-related field preferred.**Strong Communication Skills:** Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means.**Computer Skills:** Basic computer skills such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.**Travel:** 1 to 5 trips per year.**Additional Requirement:** Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.**Relocation Assistance Eligible:**No**Work Shift:**1ST SHIFT (United States of America)**Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
