Responsibilities

• Advise producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation.
• Visit farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment settings, monitor bird health and provide remedies.
• Monitor feed consumption and order as necessary.
• Coordinate chick placements to farms and assist with catch schedules.
• Ensure communication among Hatchery, Feedmill, and Livehaul departments.
• Ensure compliance with production contracts and USDA regulations.

Duties would include, but are not limited to:* Advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation.* Visiting farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment settings, monitor bird health, and provide remedy when possible.* Monitoring feed consumption and ordering if necessary* Pulling blood and fat samples as required* Coordinating chick placements to farms* Assisting with catch schedules* Ensuring communication among Hatchery, Feedmill, and Livehaul departments regarding their contract farms.* Ensuring compliance with the production contract to optimize flock quality and minimize costs.* Ensuring adherence to all USDA and other government regulations regarding poultry handling.* Working with the Broiler and Breeder Departments in coordinating weekly chick placements* Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.Must obtain and maintain a Tyson Non-Dot Driver's Manual permit to include a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations within a 3-year period. No DUI/DWI convictions within a 5-year period.
